I'm incredibly excited to share something with you! A little over a year ago, we filmed one of our live shows at The Rutledge in Nashville, which is what you see on the Running From the Scene video we have online. A buddy of mine, Micah "Dusty" Braden (my brother's best friend when we were growing up), said he had some ideas, so we gave him some of the footage. He's been working on it for quite a while, but the wait was worth it, because I think the video is incredible. You tell me!
Manic Bloom - Tonight's When I Say Goodbye on YouTube
I love it. He's an incredibly creative dude, and we're lucky that he decided to pour some of that creativity into a video for us!
We have nick names for some of our songs. You've probably figured out that TWISG stands for "Tonight's When I Say Goodbye." If you ever see our set list written out, you'd see some other ones - "Running From The Scene" is Reggae (because it was originally written with a Reggae style - the intro on the CD is the way it sounded the first time Matt played it!); we call "What Scares You Most" Trunk because in the beginning stages of the writing process it felt really aggressive - like someone was getting shoved into the trunk of a car. There are others, but you'll have to ask us about them! Just thought you might like a little inside info!
Recording is coming along nicely - we're almost there!! WE CAN'T WAIT to let you hear it!
Just got back from a Superbowl party at Matt's house. I don't know anything about sports, but I can get into some Superbowl commercials... Of what I saw, the Dorritos commercials topped the list. Who's with me?

This video is really awesome and I think it works well with the song. I wonder what he would do with your other songs. Keep up the great work and Im looking forward to the new cd.

Awesome ---- will share it on FB........I don't know much about football either --- however, if you are from New Orleans and were at the Saints games in the first 1966 season, the Superbowl was a Fantastic Wonderful experience

Really liked the song. Don't shoot me but I thought the clip was a bit amateurish. (please don't shoot me) - like, the 'we're christians. we can't afford quality media' that you seem to find across the christian world in general.
I think the song is worth more, but kudos for a nice clip idea and someone willing enough to put in the hours because they believe in the band.
(pps. feel free not to post this one after you review it - but there's too much christian 2nd grade media out there because christians are to 'nice', poor and the talented christians get sick of being used by others wanting to build their ministeries so go secular) God bless
pps. if you want an example of some really cool and cheap christian clips, needtobreathe have done some nice ones. you just need to get your hands on the right people. keep rockin!

Thanks for the comments everybody!
Sherri - we're actually not a Christian band. We're all five christians, and I'm sure that you can see and hear that in what we do (or at least I hope you can), but we don't have any intention of being in the Christian music scene.
You are right about our budget, though - we don't have one! :) We've never individually made any money off the band, and most of what we pay for comes out of our personal bank accounts. Dusty actually wanted to create the video for free - not to get it on MTV or anything (since we're relatively unknown, that'd be impossible anyways), but because he wanted to do something creative and outside the typical music video box.
And I'm definitely not going to delete your comment - we want to hear from everybody, even the feedback isn't positive!
Thanks!

Just stumbled into your site looking for music video ideas. Really nice, guys. I really like the concept, and although you can see your "budget" shining through in places, it's still a good video and one I'd be proud of if we'd come up with the same concept. We're looking around trying to find video ideas that we can make happen and look at least semi-pro on a low budget. I think you guys accomplished that. I listened to the words more with the lyrics embedded inside the video like that, and you had my attention the entire length of the clip. Nice. I'll have to point the rest of the band to this and have them take a look. Rock on
